Bond, Talent bill would allow Internet sex stings

Following two controversial decisions by U. S. District Court Judge Dean Whipple to toss cases involving internet sex stings of men who thought they were going to have sex with underaged girls, Missouri's U. S. Senators, Kit Bond and Jim Talent, have introduced a bill that would criminalize the act on a federal level.
Whipple's decision was at odds with decisions made in other federal courts. The judge said there was no crime in soliciting sex from a person who doesn't exist.
