The Diamond R-4 School District's lawsuit against Edison Schools, and Edison's countersuit, were officially dismissed today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
R-4 taxpayers should demand an accounting of what settlement was reached in this case, and every penny that was spent. So far, I have seen nothing that would indicate that this lawsuit was anything but frivolous since every other school district that has contracted with Edison to operate a summer school has made a substantial profit.
