The definition of breaking news has certainly changed. In the accompanying video, KC NBC Action News describes Sen. Maria Chapelle-Nadal's SB 124, which would require parents to tell schools if they own guns as "breaking news."
I don't even think it was breaking news when the Turner Report published a post on the bill 11 days ago.
